The Gulf Beaches Library in Madeira Beach is such a super place for a book launch!  We held the signing / talking about the book and writing in general -- on a fine Florida Saturday from 10:30 to 3.  As always, I was so happy to greet old friends-you guys are such faithful readers-and to greet new ones.  "Tails, You Lose" is the second book in the Witch City Mystery series, and so far is keeping pace with the first one-"Caught Dead Handed".  If you missed the signing, both books are available at Barnes & Noble and assorted indie stores, as well as on Amazon, Target, Books-a-Million, Walmart websites.  Still just $7.99 each.

The next one-"Look Both Ways" will be out at the end of October, so we’ll plan a book launch, Carol’s birthday, Halloween party for that one!

From the September issue of RT Book Reviews:

"The first in the Witch City series is a definite winner. The atmosphere is delightfully spooky, and the psychic elements add mystical touches that enhance the plot. The overall effect is an entertaining story that keeps readers guessing until the very twisted and eerie ending."

Editorial review from Library Journal:

"When Maralee Barrett was five years old, her parents were killed in an airplane crash. Maralee had seena vision of the fiery explosion in a reflection on her shiny black patent leather shoes. Fast forward a couple of decades and Lee returns to Salem, Ma from Florida after her husband's death. Staying with Aunt Ibby, a reference librarian and looking for a job as a reporter for the local television station, Lee is hired because the station's resident psychic, Ariel Constelation has been murdered. As Crystal Moon, Lee bigind hosting Nightshades, a late night horror movie/talk show, but it appeared she may be more gifted than she realized, as her obsidian gazing ball seems to be telling her something, but what? VERDICT Introducing a sympathetic heroine trying her best to overcome difficulties in her personal life, this rewarding paranormal cozy series debut will have Victoria Laurie fans lining up to follow."

I'll be hosting a book signing for "Tails, You Lose" at the Gulf Beaches Public Library at 200 Municipal Drive in Madeira Beach on Saturday, April 11. We'll be there from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm. I'll talk about the book and the writing process and  as usual, I'm happy to answer questions. We had a great time there when we launched "Caught Dead Handed" last September. And yes, of course, there will be cake!
